The plot of Resident Evil 0 transports gamers back to the year 1998 when reports are beginning to pile up about bizarre murders at the fringes of Raccoon City. To probe into these reports, the city’s Special Forces division, S.T.A.R.S., dispatches their Bravo Team— which comprises the young member Rebecca Chambers as part of her initiation into service as a cop. While en route, their helicopter encounters technical hitches due to engine trouble which eventually leads to a crash landing location where they come across an upturned prisoner transport vehicle. They decide to split up and search the area.
