In a desperate attempt to history and restore the greatness of the Soviet Union, the leaders find themselves being teleported back in time. The time travel escapade takes an unexpected turn, setting off an alternate dimension where technology has developed on a different path, a different superpower has emerged on the world stage, and World War III is fought. In this timeline, the Empire of the Rising Sun controls eastern Asia and is another main antagonist in World War III along with the Soviet Union and the Allies.
The armies deploy outlandish weapons like tesla coils, Kirov war blimps, giant samurai robots that have not been mentioned before; in addition to those, we see armored bears, dolphins equipped with sonic weapons, airborne floating island fortresses, and tanks that can transform into something else as well.
